Philip Kuehl, PhD (USA)
Philip Kuehl is a Senior Scientist and Senior Director of Scientific Core Laboratories at Lovelace Biomedical in Albuquerque, NM. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences
from The University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in Tucson Arizona. Dr. Kuehl is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Kuehl’s research interests are in the area of inhalation formulation and its effects on deposition, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. A focus of much of the work Philip conducts is around the quantification and understanding
of inhalation dose in a variety of non-clinical and clinical models throughout early and late stage drug development. He is currently member of the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine, American Association of Pharmaceutical
Scientists, Association of Inhalation Toxicologists, and American Chemical Society. Philip serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Aerosol Medicine and Pulmonary Drug Delivery and as an ad-hoc reviewer for several
inhalation and pharmaceutical science based journals.
Philip has been a member of ISAM since 2013 and has been a board member since 2017. He was also Co-President of the 2017 ISAM congress in Santa Fe, NM. During this time he helped write articles for different periodicals to encourage
awareness of ISAM within the community and organize mini-symposium in addition to the main ISAM congress. Moving forward the largest contributions that Philip can bring to ISAM is to support the organization / planning of the
2021 ISAM congress and continue publication of ISAM news and events to broaden ISAM’s exposure.
